Millennium Bridge, also known as Sammy's Point, is a counterweighted pedestrian swing bridge in Kingston Upon Hull, England, United Kingdom. It connects the town side on Humber Street to the east side near The Deep. It is the first movable bridge on the River Hull and also the second youngest, after Scale Lane.
Millennium Bridge is a rather impressive and modern looking bridge - and at first glance can be mistaken for a bascule or lift bridge, due to the arm which looks like it could be used for weighing the bridge down.
As far as the infrastructure of the bridge goes, it has two small barriers made by 'Newgate' and two warning lights at either side, each fitted with a sounder which is not visible but sounds like your typical Clifford and Snell or E2S sounder.
This bridge has not had any faults since its opening.
